My Vinyl Collection: "Spike" by Elvis Costello

In September, 1987, I purchased the LP "Document" by REM. This would be the last brand new vinyl I would buy for years.
It wasn't because I fell in love with the new compact disc format. I prefer the sound quality of vinyl. I prefer the LP size cover art. I began buying cd's because the LP began to fade from record shops (I worked for Wherehouse Entertainment at the time. Remember them?). And the real reason the cd became popular, convenience (the same reason that the MP3 has replaced the cd).
So by 1989 I thought they had stopped making vinyl, that's why I was a little surprised the find Elvis Costello's 1989 release "Spike" on vinyl at Poo-Bah's record shop.
It was filed under "S", probably because Costello's name does not appear on the cover. It just says "Spike: The Beloved Entertainer".
