A Pilgrim (a Bastardization of Rudel)
When, in the world, the knight, in veil,
grieves love, yet requires it, and takes it
and re-animates its song in woe
and often admires its fate;
when the brooks are cloudy, and the meadows grey,
because of the hopelessness that reigns over them,
a great pain dwells in my heart.
